The garden of Villa Maria lies on two different levels of terrain. The western garden area is situated on the height of Parkring; the eastern garden area lies about one story lower and is accessed from Freigutstrasse. The entire area is enclosed by a base wall with a cast iron fence in a neo-Renaissance style.
