Cabinets of curiosities of the 16th and 18th centuries were collections of all kinds of curiosities and mysterious treasures from faraway lands or from the past. They were exciting, raised questions, provided entertainment and were thus valuable. In an idealistic sense, our cabinet of curiosities draws upon all that. It is a collection of the most various objects, objects that inspire but also reveal connections. It contains collected documents, drawings, found objects and souvenirs. We use them in our design work. They represent our way of working and thinking, for an understanding of history and art as well as of nature and science are fundamental in our studio.
