Now on view at Zentrum Paul Klee: an exhibition of the work of Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988), Japanese-American artist.
The comprehensive exhibition shows the wide range of Noguchi’s creative work. In his many-faceted work Noguchi made sculptures from a great variety of materials such as stone, bronze, aluminium, plastic and ceramics. As well as works on paper, he designed stage sets, lamps, furniture and public spaces. His interest in sculptural design led him to alternate between work as a designer, sculptor, stage designer and landscape architect. Particularly remarkable and inspiring for us as landscape architects are also his playground designs, called playscapes.
This interesting exhibition can be seen up to 8 January 2023.
