Garden Heritage Conservation

Garden monuments bear witness to our past culture. They reveal traces of history. The different design approaches convey the sociopolitical zeitgeist. Traditional construction techniques can be traced as well as once-popular plant combinations. In this way the garden monument becomes a transmitter of history that can now be vividly grasped.

To identify and preserve garden monuments, we need expert’s reports and knowledge-based care plans. For this, we examine historical traces on-site. We also search archives for old plans and documents. We then bring together the information gained, in texts, plans and images. They provide the basis for appropriate handling of the site in the future.
